Greetings fellow golfers,
To those who have been away from the game. I feel your pain. To those who have been getting plenty of rounds in you have my atta boy. It is just plain fun to play. When I am nailing the sweet spot the game is more enjoyable. When the path to the hole is clear the level of fun increases even more.
I would like to share a couple of tips that have been earned with many swings of the clubs. First thing to do is be warmed up before the first hole. SecondĀ is to calm down. I know it is tuff to do because we just can’t wait to hit that first shot and leave everything else behind us. Third tip is hold the club in your fingers only while bringing the club back with your shoulder turn. Keep your arms still with your eyes on only the golf ball, to the point that that’s all you see are the dots on the ball. Fourth practice after you feel warmed up, swinging as hard as you can on the forward swing. Keeping your eyes on the dimples all the way through. When your playing well the dimples will appear larger to you. Fifth laugh at your mistakes on the golf course. There is no place for anger or frustration on the course. You’ll have more fun and golf better. This makes going back to practice tee more helpful. Next week I’ll discuss some good practice habits that have worked for me.
